Smile! It's Lewis Carroll's Birthday!

I don't normally post Monday's school lunch for John until Monday, but today is a very special occasion!
John watched the 1951 Disney Alice In Wonderland yesterday and decided that he had to have Chesire Cat for Monday's lunch. I printed up a picture of the cat and traced & tranferred it onto bread and colored him using AmeriColor Gel. The sandwich is ham & cheese. He's sitting on a branch built out of Mini Slim Jims. There are also dried cranberries and a little Trix cereal in his box.

Wondering what other Alice-related posts the Bento Bloggers & Friends have done (or have one of your own)? Head over to BentOnBetterLunches and check out the linky party!

    1. Thanks, Anna! I do the vast majority of my food art using toothpicks. Sometimes I'll use a watercolor brush if the area is big enough but all of this one was done with toothpicks :)
