The Return Of Om Nom

John spent some quality time this morning playing Cut The Rope on the iPad so of course he asked to have Om Nom for lunch tomorrow! It's not his first Om Nom, but it's significantly more awesome than the first one.
Om Nom is a ham & cheese sandwich. His name, candy, candy holder and cut line are monterey jack cheese. He also has Fig Newtons, Frito Scoops and salsa.

  2. I love this!! My daughter plays the game sometimes. Which food coloring do you use for this? Are they natural food coloring?

    1. I use the natural water based powders from http://www.chocolatecraftkits.com/shop/index.php?main_page=page&id=25 They're great to work with and a little goes a long way!

    2. Thanks for the prompt reply :D What about the edible food markers? I just bought Wilton's but the tip is quite thick and I noticed yours is tiny. I'm new to this food-art-bentoing thingy, still a lot to learn :)

    3. I've never used the markers but I know Jenn from Bento For Kidlet (the other commenter) uses them and would be able to advise on brands & technique. I draw with toothpicks and watercolor paintbrushes - natural colors for John and using up our food color gels when I do art for mine.

    5. No need to be sorry! Quite a few assume I use markers for detailing :) By the way -- for someone new to the "food-art-bentoing thingy" you've posted some absolutely amazing stuff so far!!!
